Thanksgiving Serving Instructions


DO NOT PUT CLEAR PLASTIC CONTAINERS IN OVEN OR MICROWAVE. (Transfer food to your own containers before heating.)
 

APPETIZERS

Crab Cakes
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Place in oven preheated at 350o for approximately 5-10 minutes or until hot.
 
Mushroom Caps - Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Place in oven preheated at 350o for approximately 5 minutes or until hot.

Prawns & Crudite Platter - Serve cold. (remove from refrigeration just before serving)

Cheese Platters/ Brie Wedge & Goat Cheese - Serve at room temperature.(remove from refrigeration approximately 1 hour before serving)

SOUP
Roasted Pumpkin Soup
- Heat on stove in a sauce pan at medium heat until hot stirring frequently to prevent burning on the bottom.  (approximately 8-10 minutes)

SIDES

Cold Salads
- Place all ingredients in bowl and toss just before serving. Start with a small amount of dressing and add to taste.

Turkey Gravy - Slowly bring to a simmer on low heat on stove top in saucepan stirring frequently to avoid burning on the bottom. (approximately 10-15 minutes)

Mashed Potatoes - Place in a covered microwaveable container. Microwave on medium power until hot. Check at 3-minute intervals, stirring each time. If your potatoes dry out during reheating, stir in a little milk to desired consistency.

Bread Stuffing - Remove from refrigerator 1 hour before cooking. Transfer to greased oven-proof container (buttered if possible). Cover with foil. Heat in preheated 350o oven until hot. (15-30 minutes) Cooking times will vary depending upon quantity.
   
Scalloped Potatoes - Remove from from refrigerator 1 hour before cooking. Transfer to oven proof dish and heat in 350 oven uncovered until hot. (approximately 15-20 minutes)
 
Wild Rice - Place in pan with a little chicken stock or water (about 1 tablespoon) and stir. Heat to serving temperature.

Hot Vegetables - Green Beans/ Butternut Squash/ Brussel Sprouts - Place in a casserole dish and cover with foil. Heat in 350o oven until hot (approximately 10-15 minutes)

ENTREES

Roasted Citrus-Curry Turkey Breasts
- Remove from refrigerator 1 hour before cooking. Place in foil covered pan in preheated oven at 350o until warm. Cooking times will vary by weight. Check every 10 minutes to avoid overcooking (approximately 30 minutes to an hour). Spoon juices over before serving.  
Baked Ham - Remove from refrigerator 1 hour before cooking. Place in foil covered pan in preheated oven at 350o until warm. Cooking times will vary by weight (approximately 30 minutes to an hour). Check and baste ham every 20 minutes and spoon juices over before serving.
